The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs Abdulqader Al-Mortada on Monday revealed that hundreds of patients, students, pilgrims and traders have been detained in the prisons run by Saudi-led coalition mercenaries in Marib province.
“The detainees were held on the background of sectarian motivations, and arrested while traveling through Marib and Aden city after the closure of Sanaa International Airport,” Al-Mortada said in a statement.
“The other party considers the prisoners as a political file,” he said.
Al-Mortada affirmed that the National Committee for Prisoners has dozens of proofs approving the mercenaries’ violations against prisoners’ rights.
