Iran confirms support peace, stability in Yemen
Ali Asghar Khaji,Iran’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs said on Wednesday that Tehran supports all the efforts to stop the war and bring peace and stability to Yemen.
The move came during his meeting with the Swedish special envoy to Yemen, Peter Semneby in Tehran.
He noted that Ansarullah are committed to their commitments in the Stockholm Agreement and implemented unilaterally their part in it, criticizing the lack of commitment by the Saudi alliance to implement its commitments.
He expressed the hope to revive this agreement and its full implementation through the follow-up of the international community.
He also stressed the need for continued cooperation between Sweden and Tehran to end the Yemen crisis.
The Swedish special envoy to Yemen, Peter Semneby, visited Tehran in October last year and held talks with the former Assistant Foreign Minister on the situation in Yemen.
