One Palestinian killed in new Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip

The Israeli occupation warplanes continued their shelling on Wednesday morning, targeting a range of locations in different areas of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian local media reported.

According to the Ma’an News Agency, the Israeli shelling on residential areas in the central Gaza Strip killed one civilian and wounded others, adding that the martyr and the wounded were taken to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Moreover, the Israeli aggression warplanes shelled agricultural land in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City, causing material damage to a number of houses.

Israeli warplanes also bombed agricultural land east of Deir al-Balah and the Juhr al-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Palestinian universities in the Gaza Strip announced the suspension of work and the cancellation of exams in the meantime, while the Ministry of Education decided to close all public and private schools belonging to the Relief Agency and operating refugees.

The health ministry said that 11 people had been killed on the first day of the attack, which began with the assassination of al-Quds Brigades’ leader, Bahaa Abu al-Ata.
