Ministry of Health: UN, WHO Disavow Agreement of Medical Bridge
The United Nations and the World Health Organization (WHO) have disavowed medical treatment flights abroad from Sanaa airport, Minister of Public Health and Population Taha al-Mutawakel said on Saturday, blaming the international community for silence in killing 30,000 patients in need of treatment abroad.
This came during a press conference held by the ministry addressed the United Nations and the World Health Organization disavow of the medical bridge for patients from Sana’a airport.
Al-Mutawakel said that the United Nations and the World Health Organization disavowed for the tenth time the medical humanitarian flights abroad from Sanaa airport.
He explained that the date October 20 was set for fifty patients to travel in the first medical trips and before 24 hours, the United Nations apologized after the patients had traveled to the capital Sanaa.
He blamed the international community for the silence in front of the killing of 30 thousand patients in need of treatment abroad, demanding the opening of Sanaa airport unconditionally.
The Ministry of Health pointed out that unless the United Nations and the World Health organization disclose the reasons for reneging the agreements with an official statement, they will be considered complicit with the countries of coalition.
