Thousands of Egyptians protest against Sisi
Thousands of Egyptians went on Friday to streets in different areas throughout the country, demanding Egypt’s president to get out and calling for overthrowing the military regime.
Protesters repeated slogans like “Get out Sisi”, “the people wants to overthrow the regime”, and “down with the military regime”.
Thousands of protesters flocked into streets following a football match between Zamaleek and Ahli teams responding to calls by businessman and actor Muhammad Ali, who appeared in trendy video footage, which exposed corruption by Sisi.
The hashtag “Tahrir square” trended on Twitter, referring to the main square in Cairo, from which the revolution in 2011 started, overthrowing deposed president Muhammad Husni Mubarak.
