Dozens of prisoners escaped from central prison in Abyan

A corroding to sources, dozens of southern prisoners fled from a central jail in Zinjibar district of Abyan province, south of Yemen.

 

The prisoners escaped after security guards left their positions in the prison.

 

Residents expressed indignation and denunciation of leaving the central prison by the security guards and escaping the prisoners, which could lead to spread of crime and destabilize security and stability.

 

The sources added that the UAE-backed militias rushed and tightly guarded the central prison to prevent the rest of the prisoners from escaping.
