Gunmen attack Saudi forces stationed at Maasheq Palace in Aden
Fierce clashes broke out on Thursday between gunmen and Saudi forces protecting Ma’ashek Palace in the southern Port City of Aden, Southern Media reported.
According to the Southern media sources, gunmen had fired on Saudi forces Stationed at Maasheq Palace and they responded to the source of the shooting.
The sources indicated that medium weapons were used in the clashes, while no casualties have been reported.
On Wednesday, The presidential palace in Maasheq area in the occupied city of Aden was subjected to looting and robbing acts.
According to sources, the presidential protection forces loyal to Saudi Arabia went under an armed attack that forced them to leave the palace to allow citizens to storm the palace and loot its contents.
On another hand, Osama Adnan, a journalist affiliated to Saudi-led coalition, held the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militias responsible for the chaos and looting the Maasheq palace.
Adnan said that Crater district is witnessing a state of chaos after armed clashes for a short time followed by storming and looting of the presidential palace.
