Amid Crimes in Yemen, Italian Arms Manufacturing Company Suspends Weapons Exports to Saudi Arabia and U.A.E
An Italian arms manufacturing company suspended its arms exports to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for 18 months. The company objects to the usage of its weapons in the war on Yemen. Italian media reported on that RWM, tha manufacturer of medium and large missile warheads and ammunition, had informed its partners in Italy of a decision to suspend its exports to Saudi Arabia and the UAE because of its use in the Yemen war.
“The company will respect the will of the Italian parliament and the government to suspend its exports for 18 months from the end of July.” the company said. The Italian House of Representatives on June 26 approved a bill that would stop the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia and the UAE form fear of using such weapons in “practices that violate international humanitarian law in Yemen.”
