29 people killed in northern India in bus crash
At least 29 people were killed when a speeding bus overturned and plunged into a roadside drain in northern India, police reported.
The Indian state police in Uttar Pradesh said” the crash occurred on Yamuna Expressway early Monday near Agra in Uttar Pradesh state.”
According to the police, the passenger bus crashed into a canal of 4.5 meters high, and the accident was caused by the driver, who fell asleep on the road.
The police pointed out that “so far 20 passengers have been rescued, and the rescue work continues.”
According to the police, the bus was carrying 46 people, and 17 injured were taken to hospital.
