Tribe in Shabwa threatens UAE-backed militia
Bakazem tribe in Shabwa province on Tuesday expressed anger and discontent with the practices of the UAE-backed militia against its members, demanded that the militia leader Mohammed Salem al-Bohar must be accountable for facilitating the killing of a member of the tribe.
The tribe issued a statement saying that the pro-UAE gunmen in Shabwa committed abuses against the people of the province, the latest of which was the killing of a member of Bakazem tribes named Mohammed Salem Lakhdar last Wednesday.
On another hand, a tribal sheikh in Shabwa warned the UAE militia that they would meet the fate of Saudi forces at the hands of Shabwa tribesmen and that they would not be silent on violations of “militia of Zayed sons.”
