Yemen Mourns Death Of 4 Patients Trapped In Hodeidah
Ministry of Public Health and Population in the National Salvation Government on Thursday announced the death of four citizens, including three women, in Durayhimi city of Hodeidah province.
The four patients died because of the interruption of their medicines and their inability to obtain it or exit from the city or to the nearest health center due to the siege imposed on the city by Saudi-led coalition for nine months, the ministry said in a statement.
The statement condemned the continued siege of the coalition forces and mercenaries on the city, which it considered a crime that is no less brutal than the direct killing by the coalition warplanes.
The ministry held the Saudi and Emirate regimes and all countries supporting them responsible for this crime, demanding the free world countries’ peoples to take a humanitarian position to preserve the lives of those who remain alive in this besieged city.
The Unjust siege, the continuous bombardment, the stifling crisis and all that caused by the war waged by Saudi-led coalition against Yemen in general and Hodeidah province in particular, have created a tragic environment for malnourished children, which has affected Yemeni children in the first place and the society as whole in all its categories.
The lack of an independent and impartial international probe into violations and crimes committed against millions of Yemenis was a major cause of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe and the continuation of daily killing in Yemen.
