Nine civilians killed in terrorist attack in Bayda
BAYDA, April 27 (YPA) – A suicide bomber believed to be affiliated with ISIS organization carried out a terrorist bombing in Bayda province, killing at least nine people and injuring other civilians, all of whom belonged to Thi Kalib Al’asfal village, in central of Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press on Friday.
According to the sources “, a suicide bomber blew himself up in a commercial shop in al-Quraishyah district, killing nine civilians and wounding several others.”
The sources said the attack “the suicide bomber blew himself up inside the shop of a person named Shawkat Ahmed Abu Srimeh, killing the owner of the shop, his brother, two of his sons and five other citizens.”
Local sources noted that the wounded were taken to a nearby hospital.
“Thi Kalib Al’asfal” areas had recently witnessed fierce infighting between al-Qaeda and ISIL to control the district.
