Yemeni army forces , who adhered to the UN envoy condition to stop drone and missile strikes to Saudi Arabia and UAE,responded differently to the Saudi-led coalition , backed by the US,regime’s campaign against the impoverished nation, a report says.
Tribesmen of Mahra province, eastern Yemen, on Tuesday interrupted the coalition’s paid fighters who tried to break into Balhaf areas in east of the city of Ghaidha.Local sources said that “citizens of Balhaf intercepted the way of the heavily armed militias heading towards al-Faidami area in Balha.”, while residents of al-Faidami complained of harassment in grazing and fishing places as a result of the presence of the paid fighters’ camp in the area, according to the sources.
The sons of Mahara and the southern provinces , for their part, launched a media campaign in the social networking sites to express their full rejection of Saudi ’s presence in the province.They demanded the departure of the Saudi forces from the province, and the trial of the governor of Hadi in Mahara, who sought guidance to kill demonstrators, and accused of threatening security and social peace in favor of the coalition.
Informed sources revealed that the government of the exiled Hadi, loyal to the coalition, is considering a proposal to leave the southern port city of Aden and settle in Mahra province, eastern Yemen.This comes after the UAE forces imposed their control on the city of Aden, aming at the refusal of the government members to return from Riyadh to Aden, especially in light of the insecurity state witnessed by the city and assassinations implemented against military and political figures.
Over several months, Saudi forces have been setting up a number of camps in the areas and districts of the province, without any legitimate or legal cover, while their paid fighters attack and harass citizens under the pretext of combating smuggling that has not been proven in the province.Saudi Arabia is seeking to build an oil pipeline extending from its territory to Nashton port of Mahra on the Arabian Sea.
Dozens of mothers of detainees and abductees on Tuesday held a protest rally to demand Saudi-backed Hadi’s authorities disclosing their sons detained in United Arab Emirates forces-run secret prisons in Aden city, according to eyewitnesses.The protesters raised slogans and banners condemning torture operations against the detainees and abductees in the prisons in the southern provinces.The UAE forces has been establishing secret prisons in Aden since 2017.
Elsewhere in Marib province, dozens of gunmen from Jadaan tribe in gathered because a tribal child was raped by a coalition soldier.The tribal gunmen demanded the leadership of the coalition forces to hand over the accused of raping the child, and gave them a deadline to Tuesday morning.Informed sources to the issue said that the gunmen of the tribe cut off the main roads leading to the city of Marib, and worked to encircle the coalition camp in the region.Tribal gunmen threatened to break into the Jadaan camp if the deadline for handing over the perpetrator expired.The source said that the leadership of the coalition gunmen in Marib refuses to hand over the accused, amid military preparations to confront the tribes of Jadaan.The Jadaan tribes have established many points along the route connecting the provinces of Marib and Al-Jawf.
Tunisian organizations and associations condemned the crimes of the coalition in Yemen, expressing their categorical rejection of the invitation to Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman to visit Tunisia which expected to be on Tuesday.The organizations considered, in a joint statement that the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince is harming Tunisia, which sacrificed for its independence and liberation from tyranny thousands of martyrs, especially with the continuation of the military campaign led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen.The statement condemned Saudi Arabia’s indifference to the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen and the spread of famine among the Yemeni people.
The head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, stressed that the Arab popular discontent with the Saudi regime will increase to include all the peoples of the world.In a statement of the Supreme Revolution, al-Houthi pointed out that the popular Arab rejection of the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to Tunisia is productive and came at the right time, he also welcomed these positions, considering them as proof of the freedom.
The spokesman for Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement says the uptick in Saudi-led airstrikes on the strategic port city of Hudaydah will eventually frustrate efforts by United Nations Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to rekindle peace talks in Sweden next month.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said he would work to impose sanctions on the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, if the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) admitted that he had given instructions to murder the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.The move came on Monday during his remarks to the US news site “Axos” on the case of Khashoggi’s murder inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, early October.Lindsey Graham told “Axos” that he and a group of senators ask CIA to provide a brief statement this week about the circumstances behind Khashoggi’s killing.“If the evidence is sufficient to outweigh the complicity ofBin Salman in the crime, I will take steps to enact legislation in the Senate based on this conclusion,” he said.“I will also see in the legislation any other destabilizing behaviours committed by Mohammed Bin Salman, such as the way he manages the war on Yemen, the strange situation with the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri and the blockade on Qatar without any consultations, ” he added.
Human Rights Watch on Monday has called on Argentina to use a war crimes clause in its constitution to investigate the role of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in his crimes against humanity in Yemen and the killing of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.The Argentine Constitution recognizes the universal jurisdiction of war crimes and torture. This means that judicial authorities can investigate and prosecute such crimes no matter where they were committed.
In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 60,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.
Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
