“Human Rights”: Targeting a Refrigerator for Pomegranates Is a Criminal Immoral Act

The Ministry of Human Rights condemned on Wednesday in a statement the crime against Yemeni pomegranate farmers in Al-Ja’amla region of Majz District, Saada Governorate.

The humanitarian violation claimed the lives of three civilians, among them a Syrian, in addition to eight others wounded, including another Syrian.

The Ministry stressed that the crime of targeting a refrigerator to cool and preserve fruits while Yemen is dubbed “the worst humanitarian crisis on earth”  in the district of Majz is one of the most serious crimes and a “criminal, cowardly and an immoral act.”

Moreover, it explained that these terrible acts and practices carried out by the Saudi-led coalition against the Yemeni people and their properties and capabilities indicate the loss of all values and religious and humanitarian norms.

The statement released by the Human Rights Ministry also pointed out that the continuation of these crimes proves that the international community and in the forefront the United Nations and its bodies are complicit due to their silence toward such humanitarian violations.

The Ministry concluded by reiterating its call on the United Nations and the Security Council to immediately hold their responsibilities and begin taking major actions in order to halt the Saudi-led war on impoverished Yemen.
