Warnings of US-Saudi Aggression Continued Detention of Fuel Ships

The General Union of National Petroleum Stations Owners are warning of a humanitarian catastrophe as a result of the suspension of the service sectors due to the continued detention of fuel ships by the the Saudi-led aggression.

In a statement, the Union condemned the shameful international silence regarding the violations of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition.

It stressed that the US-Saudi aggression continued its detention of fuel ships; not allowing them to reach the port of Hodeidah, which will exacerbate the deteriorating humanitarian situation as a result of the aggression and siege for seven years.

The statement considered preventing the entry of fuel oil ships, despite obtaining UN permits, a crime against the Yemeni people that contradicts international and humanitarian values, charters, and laws.

It called on local and international human rights organizations to carry out their duties in putting pressure on the US-Saudi aggression to release the detained ships and save the lives of thousands of patients.

The statement stressed that the silence of the international community, UN and human rights encouraged the countries of aggression to blockade the Yemeni people, maintain piracy on fuel ships and cause a humanitarian disaster.

It called for the need to open the port of Hodeidah and to neutralize the YPC and all its facilities and stations of its agents from targeting, and to expedite the opening of Sana’a International Airport and to lift the siege on Ras Issa port.
