Marine quake hits off coast of Socotra Island
An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 struck off the coast of Socotra Island, southern Yemen, on Wednesday.
Global seismic monitoring centers reported that the 4.3 Richter magnitude marine quake at a depth of 10 kilometers hit the Arabian Sea with a water wave 7,449 off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman and the Yemeni island of Socotra.
This comes after a similar marine quake occurred off the coast of Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, last Friday, with a magnitude of 5.3.
