Health Ministry Condemns Destroying Quarantine Center by US-Saudi Aggression
The Ministry of Public Health and Population condemned the US-Saudi aggression’s targeting of the quarantine center at Sana’a International Airport.
According to the Yemeni Saba News Agency, the ministry stated, in a statement, that the US-Saudi warplanes completely destroyed the quarantine center in targeting Sana’a airport, in a crime that is added to its series of crimes against Yemen for seven years.
The statement considered that targeting and bombing vital and health facilities is an insistence by the countries of aggression to destroy infrastructure and paralyze government institutions, including Sana’a Airport, the remaining artery for humanitarian aid to enter.
The statement indicated that the quarantine center has been prepared to receive and provide health services for cases that enter through the airport, from employees of missions and international organizations.
The statement holds the United Nations responsible for its continued silence in the face of the crimes of aggression, calling on it to do its duty to stop the aggression and lift the siege.
The US-Saudi aggression launched, Monday, a series of raids on Sana’a International Airport, causing great damage to the airport facilities, which made it out of readiness.
Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and other key Western powers, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing Hadi’s government back to power and crushing Ansarullah.
Having failed to reach its professed goals, the war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
