Wide Condemnation Over Murder of Citizen Traveling Through Saudi-UAE Controlled Areas
The murder of the child Mazen Nizam Felita, at the hands of bandits in the areas controlled by the forces of the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries in the desert linking the governorates of Marib and Al-Jawf, was met with widespread public condemnation of the ugliness of the crime and the continuation of chaos and lawlessness in the occupied areas.
Local sources indicated that unidentified gunmen on board a car intercepted the car of Mazen and his companion while they were leaving the city of Marib towards Al-Jawf governorate, returning from Al-Mahra to their family in Hajjah Governorate. The gunmen fired them with a hail of bullets, as a result of that, Mazen was hit by a fatal bullet in the chest. He was then taken to a hospital in the city of Marib, where he died an hour after his arrival.
This is not the first crime committed by bandits against travelers through Al-Jawf desert. It is added to a long series of crimes and suffering experienced by travelers, who have the choice between killing or looting their property and throwing them in the desert without pity or mercy.
This crime confirms the continuation of the state of security chaos in the occupied areas, where the security points of the mercenaries of the aggression turn a blind eye to these practices and give up providing protection for travelers despite the crime took place near one of the mercenaries’ checkpoints in the desert line.
Travelers and citizens say that the checkpoints are involved in the crimes committed against them. The mercenaries at these checkpoints carefully search passenger cars and communicate with the gangs to inform them about the cars carrying citizens who have money or jewelry so that they can loot or kill them in the event of resistance.
This incident recalls the crime against the young man Abdulmalik Al-Sanabani, who was killed at Tor Al-Baha point in Lahj Governorate after he had been arrested by armed men at a checkpoint belonging to the so-called 9th Strike Force Brigade of the Transitional Council. He was killed on his trip back from the United States of America via Aden airport, where he was subjected to arbitrary detention, torture and confiscation of his money before being killed.
The crime proves that the scheme of chaos and lawlessness and the encouragement of criminal gangs is an approach taken by the coalition of aggression as a criminal means to target citizens and travelers in the occupied areas.
Moreover, the heinous crime against Mazen Felita and other crimes of looting, killing and suffering experienced by travelers who are forced to take dangerous routes come as a result of the siege imposed on the Yemeni people and the closure of Sana’a International Airport by the US-Saudi aggression.
As long as Sana’a International Airport has been closed by the criminal aggression coalition, the tragedies and crimes against which travelers are exposed will continue and escalate.
The warplanes of the US-Saudi aggression escalated on Monday its raids on Sana’a International Airport, leading to being out of readiness. The US-Saudi aggression launched three raids on the airport.
The raids on Sana’a airport led to the destruction of the Civil Aviation Institute and the customs warehouse, as well as the destruction of the quarantine center.
Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and other key Western powers, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing Hadi’s government back to power and crushing Ansarullah.
Having failed to reach its professed goals, the war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
