YPC: US-Saudi Coalition Detains Three Fuel Tankers
Yemen Petroleum Company confirmed that the US-Saudi aggression coalition is detaining three tankers carrying more than 80,000 tons of diesel, and preventing them from reaching the port of Hodeidah, despite obtaining UN permits and being inspected in Djibouti.
The company explained that “all tankers have completed all UNVIM procedures in Djibouti and obtained United Nations permits, stressing that the cargo complies with the conditions contained in the concept of verification and inspection operations.”
It confirms that it violated the United Nations provisions of the International Convention on Human Rights, articles of international humanitarian law and the law of conflict, as well as its permanent disregard for the essence and objectives of the Stockholm Agreement, which emphasized facilitate the arrival of basic materials and humanitarian aid to the port of Hodeidah in a manner that meets the needs of the Yemeni people.
The company pointed out that in the face of “criminal piracy and its catastrophic repercussions, no serious and tangible action from the United Nations has been matched, despite the fact that it is the international body concerned with facilitating the entry of imports of basic commodities.”
