Governor of Aden Condemns ‘Criminal’ Bombing of Aden International Airport

 The governor of Aden, Tariq Salam, condemned the cowardly criminal act that targeted the vicinity of Aden International Airport, Saturday, with a car bomb, which led to the death and injury of dozens of civilians, most of whom were women and children.

Salam explained that this criminal act comes in the context of the systematic “terrorism” practiced by the US-UAE-Saudi occupying forces and their tools, who use killing for terrorizing people and targeting vital facilities crowded with citizens.

He considered the confused statements and mutual accusations of the occupation mercenaries about the Aden airport bombing incident, as an attempt to conceal their crimes against civilians.

The governor stressed the need to strengthen national cohesion to confront criminal forces, pointing out that these crimes come within the framework of the efforts of the aggression and occupation to achieve its ambitions ignoring citizens’ lives.

Violent explosion rocked the vicinity of the outer gate of Aden Airport, located in the Khor Maksar area. Local news reported that a car with a quantity of fuel on board exploded in front of the airport hotel near the airport’s outer gate, killing and wounding a number of citizens and burning cars in the place.

Activists on social media had circulated information that the explosion was caused by a car bomb near the gate of Aden Airport, which is controlled by the UAE militia in Aden.

The southern governorates witnessed the highest level of crimes and violations. The annual report issued by the Media Center for the Southern Governorates stated that it had documented 1259 crimes and serious violations during the past year, including 159 assassinations as a result of the conflict between the militia of the Southern Transitional.
