Human Rights Ministry denounces UN SC’s statement on Yemen
The Ministry of Human Rights in the National Salvation Government in Sanaa denounced on Sunday the press statement of the United Nations Security Council on Yemen, issued last Wednesday.
The ministry indicated that the Security Council, with this statement, affirmed its disregard for the Charter of the United Nations and the rules and provisions of international humanitarian law.
With this position, the Council has deliberately ignored the violations and grave crimes of the Saudi-led coalition countries in Yemen for 2,400 days until the date of the issuance of its last statement, the Ministry explained in a statement.
The Ministry affirmed that the Security Council, with this declaration, is trying to legitimize the grave crimes and violations of the coalition countries inside Yemen, in addition to encouraging them to commit more massacres.
In its statement, the Ministry held the Security Council legally and morally responsible for the crimes committed by the coalition countries, including the killing of civilians and the destruction of vital facilities, the last of which was last Thursday in Sa’wan area in the capital Sanaa, and the provinces of Saada, Marib and Hodeida.
