Sayyed Nasrallah calls for ceasefire in Yemen
The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, on Friday called for a ceasefire in Yemen.
This came in his televised speech during the celebration held by Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut, on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday anniversary and Islamic Unity Week.
Nasrallah considered that the continuation of the siege on Yemen means the continuation of the war.
He stressed that “the international community, instead of condemning the victim in this country, should listen to the popular will and end the war and the siege.”
Sayyed Nasrallah said: “From the beginning, we took a position on the Yemen file, and we said that this is an oppressed and aggressed people.”
He also called for assuming responsibility towards occupied Palestine, lifting the siege and stopping the aggression against Yemen, and strengthening Islamic unity.
