Activists criticize OIC for its silence on persecution of Muslims in India
Many activists on social media have criticized the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Muslim World League due to their negative stance on the persecution of Muslims in India.
The organization includes 57 Islamic countries, but it has remained silent, in conjunction with the cases of killing, arrest, kidnapping, and mutilation of corpses that are taking place against Indian Muslims.
Activists interacted on social media, calling on the organization, which was established to defend Muslims, to take action to save their brothers in India who are being subjected to systematic campaigns of liquidation.
“We did not find from these two institutions a real position towards the practices of India and China against Muslims,” said Jaber Al-Harmi, a Qatari journalist.
Al-Harmi added, “The Muslims have no mourners,” accompanied by the hashtag “#India_Kills_Muslims.”
He noted that the OIC and the Muslim World League had signed a partnership agreement with the ‘Tony Blair Institute for Global Change’ to provide 100,000 young people from 18 countries between the ages of (13-17) with critical thinking skills.
Tony Blair is the former British Prime Minister, and he has controversial statements about Islam and Muslims, and he is known for his role in supporting the UAE’s trends in regional issues, especially in confronting Islamic currents.
