Aggression coalition holds fuel ship carrying 27,000 tons of mazut, diesel

The US-Saudi aggression coalition seized a new ship carrying 27,000 tons of mazut and diesel belonging to the private sector, the Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC)’s Executive Director Ammar Al-Adhru’ai told Saba on Tuesday.

The aggression coalition seized the ship ‘Voss Power’ and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeida, despite that it was inspected and obtaining an entry permit from the United Nations.

Al-Adhru’ai said that the continuation of piracy on fuel ships reflects the arrogance of the aggression coalition and the United Nations’ condoning of the suffering of the Yemeni people, which is increasing as a result of the blockade.”

He considered the continued detention of fuel ships a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian charters, norms, and laws, blaming the United Nations, the international community, and humanitarian organizations for the aggravation of the suffering of the Yemeni people.
