Activist transferred to hospital due to brutal torture inside Islah’s prison in Marib
Local sources in Marib province revealed that Amatallah al-Hammadi, a human rights activist, was taken to hospital due to brutal torture inside one of Saudi-led coalition prisons in Marib city.
According to the sources, the coalition forces arrested Amatallah al-Hammadi long with and her husband this morning for exposing numerous crimes committed by coalition and Islah militnts officials against women and children.
In March 2018, the activist was subjected to an assassination attempt during a field visit to study the phenomenon of begging girls in Marib city.
Moreover, in July 2020 she was attacked by the “special security” forces who tried to arrest her and confiscate her personal phone.
The attack on al-Hammadi follows a campaign of incitement by pro-Islah party activists in Marib city because she exposed the case of the detention of the child (Abdullah al-Maridi) in the coalition prison in Marib city. He was sexually abused by security officials.
