Three Salafist sheikhs killed, four injured in IED explosion in Dhalea
At least three sheikhs of radical Salafist elements were killed and four others were wounded on Friday, in an explosion targeting a military vehicle in Dhalea province, southern Yemen.
According to the sources, an improvised explosive device exploded and targeted a military pickup vehicle belonging to a Salafist leader, following a religious lecture by a Salafist leader near a mosque in Al-Jalila district, killing three people and wounding four.
The sources confirmed that the explosion killed three people, including Salafist Sheikh Mehran al-Aqbi, and injured four others, including Sheikh Marwan al-Aqabi, whose burns were described as very serious.
