US-Saudi Aggression Continues its Fuel Siege against Yemen

The Yemeni YPC announced, Tuesday, that US-Saudi aggression has detained a new Fuel ship and prevented it from reaching the ports of Hodeidah.

The YPC stated that the US-Saudi aggression had seized the ship “Harvest”, which was loaded with approximately 30,000 tons of diesel, and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeidah, so that the detained fuel ships rose to five ships.

It pointed out that two of the seized ships were carrying gas, and two of them had been detained for more than eight months, and they were carrying nearly 60 tons of diesel and gasoline.

It explained that detention of oil ships despite obtaining UN permits violates the essence and objectives of Sweden Agreement, which stressed the need to facilitate the arrival of basic materials and aid to the port of Hodeidah.

The YPC noted that continuation of criminal piracy and its disastrous repercussions were not matched by any serious and tangible action by the UN, as it is the party concerned with facilitating the entry of imports of basic commodities.

It stated that UN did not leave the state of stagnation and disgraceful alignment with the forces of aggression, despite its explicit recognition of the exacerbation of the humanitarian consequences resulting from the acute shortage of fuel supplies.
