President meets SCMCHA Secretary-General

President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat has met with Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) AbdulMohsen Tawoos.

In the meeting held on Monday, Al-Mashat discussed with Tawoos aspects of coordination between the SCMCHA and international humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen, the funds provided to Yemen, and how to benefit from them to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people under the unjust U.S. blockade.

They discussed the findings of the visits of the SCMCHA Secretary-General to a number of provinces to inspect the humanitarian conditions in the camps of the displaced and their needs.

President al-Mashat stressed the keenness to continue the humanitarian work to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, which has been doubled as a result of the continued aggression, the U.S.-Saudi blockade and the economic war of the aggression.

He stressed the need to facilitate the arrival of aid to the displaced people and any others affected by the aggression, and to overcome the difficulties that may face the international humanitarian organizations working in the country.
