Rights organization calls on Saudi Arabia to release Yemeni citizen

A human rights organization on Monday called on the Saudi authorities to release a Yemeni citizen who has been detained in Al-Shumaisi prison in the holy city of Makkah, two years ago, despite a ruling for his release.

“Rights Radar” foundation – which is based in the Netherlands – called on the Saudi authorities to release Mohammed Abdullah Waheeb from Al-Tahita district, south of Hodeida, who has been detained in ward 63 in Al-Shumaisi prison for two years.

The organization reported that Waheeb is still detained, despite a clear judicial ruling issued for his release from the 15th Individual Criminal Chamber of the Criminal Court in Makkah.
