National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs condemns mercenaries crime against two captives

The National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs condemned on Friday committed the Saudi-backed mercenaries of al-Qaeda and ISIS in Bayda a heinous crime against the two captives Saqr Ghanem Rashid Hussein al-Maliki and Mohammed Ahmed Murshid Tawaf.

Al-Qaeda and ISIS elements, during the recent fighting in Bayda, committed a crime against al-Maliki and Tawaf prisoners by beheading them and throwing their bodies, which were found after the area was cleared by the army and popular committees, the committee said in a statement received by Saba.

The Commission held the states of aggression fully responsible for this crime, which is contrary to heavenly laws, international and humanitarian principles, values, and norms.

The statement of the Committee confirmed that the ugliness of this crime exposed the countries of aggression and revealed their relationship and adoption of al-Qaeda and ISIS elements.

That crime put the credibility of the international community, which claimed to fight al-Qaida and ISIS, at stake through their attitudes towards the perpetrators and their supporters.

The National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs called on the United Nations, its organizations operating in Yemen, and all local organizations to condemn the crime and prosecute the perpetrators in a deterrent.

It also called on the free people of Yemen to condemn this unprecedented behavior and to denounce its perpetrators from the states of aggression and their criminal tools from ISIS and al-Qaeda elements.
