FM meets WFP Regional Director

Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Tuesday with the Regional Director of the World Food Program (WFP) for the Middle East and North Africa, Corinne Fleischer, and her accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the aspects of cooperation between Yemen and the program.

The Foreign Minister praised the WFP efforts to address the repercussions of the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen, which is the worst in the world as a result of the Saudi-led coalition’s aggression and siege.

He stressed the importance of the doubling humanitarian efforts and increasing food aid, taking into account quality conditions and standards.

For her part, Fleischer appreciated the cooperation of the Salvation Government in facilitating the program work, confirming that the program works in coordination with the relevant authorities and within the framework of its plans.
