Mahdi Al-Mashat congratulated the Yemeni people, heroes of the Armed Forces, Popular Committees, Security Agencies and our Arab and Islamic Nations on the blessing occasion of holy Month of Ramadan. He said that “the continuation of the stifling US-Saudi blockade and the aggression against our people for seven years proves to the world that countries raging the aggression and the US are devoid all human values.”
He pointed out that their talk about peace, while their aggression and siege continues, is nothing, but a manipulation to cover up their heinous crimes against the Yemeni people, and he added, “We must revive values of compassion, solidarity, cooperation and concern for vulnerable families.”
He expressed his great sorrow and pain due to the detention and humiliation of thousands Yemeni expatriates, their children, and women at the border crossing by unjust Saudi regime, pointing out that mercenaries- referring to the Yemeni part working for the US-Saudi aggression- are not worthy of bearing responsibility and are not faithful to lives and conditions of people.
He affirmed the adherence of our Yemeni people to their right to self-defense and to continue to confront aggression and blockade by all available and legitimate means.
Al-Mashat announced amnesty for prisoners who have been sentenced to deprivation of liberty who have spent two-thirds of sentence imposed on them based on conclusive rulings, and this does not affect the private rights of others.
The Yemeni armed forces reiterated that their operations are continuing and escalating as long as the aggression and siege on our country continues. “The aggression against Yemen is a crime, the siege is a crime, and the continuation is another crime. US-Saudi aggression better quickly stop its crimes against Yemen otherwise it will cost those involved a lot,” the head of the National Negation team, Abdulsalam, said earlier.
In the face of the continued aggression and siege, our Yemeni people will proceed in its confrontation, defending its right to live in freedom, dignity and sovereignty,” Abdulsalam added.
