SCMCHA holds press conference on humanitarian situation in Hodeida

Branch of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) in Hodeida province has organized a press conference on the humanitarian situation.

 

Under a theme of “Our steadfastness is the secret of our glory, the SCMCHA branch exposes what has been subjected to Hodeida by the aggression over a period of six years.

 

Hodeida acting governor Mohammed Qahim pointed out that the province received more than 30 displaced families from Jawf, Marib Bayda provinces and more than 445 displaced families from Sa’ada provinces, and more than 24,000 displaced families from Haradh, Midi, and Bani Hassan areas in Hajjah province.

 

Qahim also indicated that Hodeida has received hundreds of families from Aden and a number of provinces since the beginning of the occupation of the southern provinces.

 

Hodeida also received more than a thousand families from Taiz while the number of displaced people from within the province reached more than 97,000 families, he said.

 

He added the aggressive systematic targeting of the main sources of income has negatively affected the humanitarian situation and exacerbated the suffering of the residents of the provinces.
