Sa’adah’s Hospital Condemns Continued Detention of Oil Ships by Saudi-led Forces

In Sa’adah governorate, the Al-Gomhori Hospitals Authority, today, Wednesday, organized a protest to condemn the detention by the US-Saudi aggression of oil derivative ships, preventing them from entering the port of Hodeidah.

In the protest, the participants denounced the continued detention of oil derivatives which threatens the lives of hundreds of patients in need of dialysis, intensive care, emergency cases and preterm infants in nurseries. The electricity generators in hospitals depend on Diesel fuel and the shortage due to the US-Saudi siege has doubled the suffering of millions of Yemenis.

The statement pointed out that the United Nations did not deal with this disaster, that affects vital sectors and needs oil derivatives, in a serious and responsible manner. It called for an end to the US-Saudi aggression, lifting the comprehensive blockade and abolishing the arbitrary restrictions imposed by the aggression. “These forces should allow the entering of basic commodities such as food, medicine and oil derivatives to the port of Hodeidah and the UN should pressure the aggression to release the detained ships and allow their access to the por,” the statement demanded.

The statement held the aggression , its mercenaries, the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen responsible for the exacerbation of the humanitarian situation and what the situation will lead to during the coming days and hours. It warns of a humanitarian catastrophe threatening the Yemeni people. It called the United Nations to meet its duty in this regard.
