Angry protests erupt in Aden

Hundreds of sons of Yemen’s southern city of Aden took streets on Sunday in an angry protest rally to denounce the power outage and the deterioration of essential service in the city.

At the rally, the demonstrators cut off roads with stones and set tyres in the Khor Maksar district.

They condemned the power cuts for long hours and blamed the Ministry of Electricity in the Saudi-backed Hadi government the responsible for failure of developing urgent and appropriate solutions to ease the suffering the city’s sons.

The city of Aden has suffered from frequent power cuts, a continuous deterioration of the economy, and the silence of the government of Hadi in the face of these conditions, despite its presence in the Al-Masheeq Palace.
