12 fishermen missing off al-Khokah coast

A fishing boat with at least  twelve Yemeni fishermen on it has disappeared during a fishing trip off the coast of al-Khokha district, Hodeidah province in western Yemen.

The fishermen had boarded a boat off the al-Khokha coast last Thursday, but had not yet returned, colleagues of the disappeared said on Saturday.

According to fishermen, they lost contact with their colleagues  several days ago.

They Yemeni fishermen accused the UAE-backed Joint Forces Coast Guard of disregarding the incident despite appeals for help.
