YEMAC organize awareness campaign about cluster bombs
The Executive Center for Mine Action (YEMAC) launched on Tuesday in Taiz province an awareness campaign about the dangers of mines, cluster bombs, war remnants and airstrikes.
During the inauguration, which came n coordination with the local authority and the Social Affairs Office in Taiz, the YEMAC supervisor, Amin al-Barh, explained that the campaign comes as part of the YEMAC’s efforts to spare citizens the dangers of cluster bombs and explosive remnants of war.
On her part, awareness member Amat al-Aleem Majed indicated the importance of implementing an awareness campaign in the light of continuing aggression and increasing the number of victims.
Majed urged all citizens not to approach suspicious objects and report them to the nearest police station.
The campaign targets citizens in the districts located on the seam zone to introduce them to the shapes and images of the dangerous objects and how to avoid them as well as what would happen if they exploded.
