Public Prosecutor buries unidentified corpses in Hodeida

Public Prosecutor’s Office in Hodeida, in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), carried out on Sunday the second phase for burying about 65 unidentified corpses in Hodeida province.

During the burial process, the chargé d’affairs of the governor of Hodeida, Mohammad Qahim, the head of the province’s Appeals Prosecution Office, Judge Hadi Eida explained that the burial process took place after the Forensic Medicine Department of the Attorney General’s office documented all the bodies and examined them to determine the cause of death.

He pointed out that the burial was preceded by an announcement in the official newspapers of the bodies for 15 days, and no one appeared to claim them, which required the prosecution office to complete its procedures in this regard.
