SEC: UN have not signed “Safer” securing deal yet

The Supreme Economic Committee (SEC) has warned of the risks of delaying the implementation of the urgent deal to secure and inspect the floating oil tanker “Safer”.

“since signing the agreement on 11 November, the United Nations have not provided us with their signed version of the deal,” the SEC said in a statement issued on Thursday.

The Committee said such delay raises questions for the hidden goals of the aggression’s propaganda and allegations of the security and safety of the Red Sea environment.

The SEC said that the delay of signing the agreement by the UN will delay the implementation of the deal, adding the UN announcement that the arrival of experts would be postponed until February 15th next year was a shock.

It called on the UN to sign to the deal the agreement and to fully and transparently disclose the budget allocated to implement the urgent maintenance and comprehensive inspection of “Safer tank”.
