Protests continue in Taiz against economic deterioration
The city of Taiz on Friday has witnessed a popular demonstration to demand better living conditions in Yemen’s occupied areas.
After Friday’s prayer in Freedom Square in central Taiz, the protesters chanted slogans of “Yemeni patience has overflowed and the government in Riyadh.”
They accused the Saudi regime of detaining Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi in Riyadh.
The protesters demonstrators called for urgent measures to address the economic crisis, which the country is experiencing as a result of the collapse of the local currency.
They blamed Saudi Arabia and the UAE for the deterioration of the economy in the country.
The protesters also stressed the need for the new “Hadi government” to take the oath of office in Aden, according to the Riyadh Agreement signed in September 2019.
According to observers, the Saudis deliberately insult “Hadi government” by subjecting it to new dictates outside the terms of the Riyadh agreement in both military or political aspect, none of the items signed in the “Riyadh Agreement” have been complied with.
