The National Cancer Foundation Launches a Distress Call
The National Cancer Control Foundation, in Ibb, launched a distress call to save the lives of hundreds of cancer patients in the governorate, as a result of the depletion of drug items for cancer patients.
“Save Cancer Patients”, the Foundation confirmed that the chemical and aid items in Al-Amal Cancer Unit are about to run out during the next few weeks.
The statement pointed out that the Foundation resorted to launch an appeal to save the lives of hundreds of cancer patients, whose number reached 4,350 patients.
The foundation appealed to international and humanitarian organizations, local institutions, merchants, businessmen, and philanthropists to quickly provide assistance to save the lives of patients and help them with the necessary medicines and health services.
The statement also called on all Yemeni People to interact with the campaign of January, 1st by allocating a day’s income for cancer patients.
The director of the Cancer Foundation in Ibb, Baligh Al-Tawil, referred to the challenges facing the branch, due to the suspension of support and the increase in the number of people with cancer. He calls upon all people to bear responsibility for cancer patients and positive interaction with the Foundation’s efforts to enable it to continue providing medical services and charitable activities towards cancer patients.
