4 killed due to flooding of river in Mexico
At least four people were killed and three others missing when a river overflowed with heavy rain in southern Mexico.
The Associated Press quoted the Civil Defense Office in the state of Veracruz as saying that an exploratory group of 21 people was trapped on Monday due to heavy rain and overflowing a river at the bottom of the Rio Oro Valley near the Gulf of Mexico, killing four of them and wounding five others in addition to the loss of three.
The office added that search operations are still ongoing for the missing, with the participation of police personnel, rescue workers, volunteers and firefighting personnel.
