UAE tightens grip on Socotra’s residents

The UAE occupation forces on Saturday closed all gas stations on the occupied island of Socotra, in a bid to compound the suffering of the island’s residents.

According to local sources , the leadership of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias closed the filling station of the oil company, in addition to the closure of the “ADNOC company at the same time in order to impose a new price dose, in order to tighten the stranglehold on the people and residents of the island.

The sources stressed that the closure of oil derivatives terminals confirms that the occupation planned  to impose a new policy that will increase the suffering of the Sons of Socotra, who depend on the fishing.

According to the sources, the STC, at the behest of the UAE forces command, is considering adding a new price dose for oil derivatives, as evidenced by the irregular sale of fuel and the opening of stations for hours, resulting in the extension of long queues of cars on a daily basis, al-Mahreya TV reported.

The sources predicted that the price of a gallon of gasoline will be raised 20 liters to 10,000 riyals after it was sold for 6,000 riyals.

The UAE is taking over the oil derivatives sector after months of its militia’s takeover of Hadeboh on June 19th.
