Residents in Jabal Habashi district condemn Islah militants’ violations
Residents of Jabal Habashi, west of Taiz province, staged a second vigil in a week to denounce violations carried out by the Hadi government’s security committee for more than a month in several villages of the region.
The protesters rejected the excesses and violations of the Security Committee of the Islah Committee, which varied from indiscriminate shelling on residents, house-to-house incursions and kidnapping of opponents.
The protesters described the security committee’s night raid on villages, terrorizing women and children and arresting citizens without legal justification as gang behavior.
They and demanded the swift release of their families from the “smuggling mafia” prisons, in reference to the Islah popular mobilization forces.
It is worth mentioning that areas under the control of the Islah Party in Taiz have being witnessing chaos, insecurity and ongoing violations against citizens.
