JSC Condemns Suspending Almasirah Network Accounts on “Twitter”

The Journalists Support Committee in Geneva condemned, Saturday, the decision by the “Twitter” to close the accounts of Almasirah Media Network. The committee said in a statement that “such an unjustified legal action is a flagrant violation of freedom of opinion and expression as well as freedom of publication.”

It demanded Twitter to an immediate reversal of its decision to close the accounts belonging to Almasirah Media Network and the adoption of the principles of equality in the digital world.

Twitter blocked the accounts of Almasirah Media Network and a number of its employees simultaneously without any justification, at the behest of the forces of aggression against Yemen.
