Protests Condemn Oil Ship Detention by US-Saudi Forces, Hodeidah
The Yemeni Petroleum Company, the Union of Petrol Station Agents and the Trade Union Committees in Hodeidah organized a mass protest in front of the United Nations office to condemn the US-Saudi aggression’s continued detention of oil derivatives ships and preventing their entry to the port of Hodeidah. At the stand, the participants stressed the need to take a firm stand regarding the blockade imposed by the forces of aggression against the Yemeni People and the seizure of fuel ships, foodstuffs and medicine in full view of the international community.
They called on, in a statement, the international community and international and humanitarian organizations to work to stop these arbitrary practices that are contrary to all humanitarian and international charters, norms, and laws.
The statement condemned the shameful silence of the United Nations and the international community towards the follies committed by the aggressive countries by detaining ships of oil derivatives and killing Yemenis with all kinds of weapons.
The participants hold the aggressive countries responsible for the war crimes, genocide and siege of the Yemeni People committed by the coalition countries, warning of an imminent health and environmental disaster threatening the lives of citizens due to the worsening living conditions due to the lack of oil derivatives.
