Fisheries Minister, Acting Governor of Hodeidah warns of “Safer” reservoir blast danger
Minister of Fisheries Mohammed Al-Zubairi and Acting Governor of Hodeidah province Mohammed Quhim on Wednesday warned of the danger of the floating Safer reservoir explosion off Ras Issa port in Hodeidah province.
This came at a meeting in held in Hodeidah to discuss the fish sector needs and the Ministry’s priority projects that will contribute to increasing fish production.
Al-Zubairi and Quhim confirmed that Saudi-led aggression coalition is not indifferent to any calls or demands from the Salvation Government in Sanaa to neutralize the maintenance supplies for the Safer reservoir.
They explained that about 121 islands and 650 species of fish exist in the vicinity of the reservoir are threatened in the event that the Safar Reservoir bursts, adding that its explosion would also affect many countries on the coasts of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
