Political Parties, Organizations Condemn Griffiths’ Bias, Fallacies
The political parties and organizations, in Sana’a, condemned bias of the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, siding with the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen. They also condemned his repeated fallacies and procrastinations regarding the continued siege and piracy, of oil derivatives’ ships, by the aggression. They called on the government to suspend dealing with him.
They considered that Griffiths transcended the professional neutrality imposed by his international work when he did not ask to allow the detained ships to enter Hodeidah port. However, he rather requested a solution that guarantees their entry despite the presence of the solution in the Sweden agreement terms and in the Security Council’s two resolutions that stipulated their entry without any hindrances.
They indicated that his call for a solution means coming up with a new one outside of what was stipulated in the previous agreement and decisions. It makes that solution commensurate with the aggressive mercenaries’ desire, while Yemeni people remain besieged and deprived of oil derivatives.
Regarding his regret expression of not holding the meeting, devoted to discuss revenue control and salary payment, despite the presence of the national delegation’s representatives and the absence of the other party’s representatives, the statement pointed out that Griffiths is biased because he equaled between the two parties.
They confirmed that he mentioned the revenues related to ships but did not mention the other party’s duty to cover the deficit necessary to pay salaries at the Republic level, according to the previous initial understandings in Stockholm talks.
It called on the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to suspend dealing with him, asking to replace him, especially after his bias towards the aggression and its mercenaries.
It held him fully responsible for the negative effects of that, calling on the Secretary-General to change him, as he was no longer acceptable to the Yemeni people and did not carry out his duties in complete neutrality.
