Sporadic rainfall expected within coming 24 hours

The National Center of Meteorology expected on Friday scattered rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, in some Yemeni provinces within the next 24 hours.

The center said in a statement that the rains would focus on a series of western mountainous heights and parts of the interior regions of the eastern, southern and western coasts.

As for the weather in the desert and coastal areas, it would be warm with strong winds around the Socotra archipelago and parts of the eastern and southern coasts.

The center warned citizens in those areas to stay away being in the streams of torrential channels and gatherings and valleys, stressing that precautions should be taken from rock landslides and the low level of horizontal visibility due to fog or clouds, especially on mountainous roads.
