Transport Minister calls for studying climate diversity, weather forecasts in Yemen

Minister of Transport Zakariya al-Shami on Sunday directed the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority to conduct a scientific study of climate diversity and forecasts of weather conditions in Yemen in the coming days to avoid disasters that may occur due to heavy rains.

This came during his chairing a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, which discussed the mechanism of developing the Authority’s work and future plans for projects included in the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.

In the meeting, the Transport Minister stressed the need to rapid the completion of the authority’s organizational structure and to correct imbalances in accordance with local laws and regulations and international standards that keep pace with developments and the requirements of the International Aviation Organization.
